Hi

Has anyone had problems with an inflamed breastbone due to RA? I have just been to the doctors with chest pain along the sternum and he said it was an inflamed breastbone but did not know what the cause was.

Wishing you all a good weekend

Sue

There's been a thread on this on the Health unlocked site, and sounds as if it's relatively common with RA as a number of people have said they've suffered from it at times. Yet another thing to watch out for. Hope it improves quickly for you. Polly

Ow owowowowwoow

that costo really hurts- an elephant sitting on your chest with little hammers for toes...

some people have worried they are having a heart attack and had to be checked at A and E. Its THAT painful at times. I find the best thing (other than the meds) is that Phorpain gel rubbed in.

EVERY sympathy x

I had an inflamed collar bone (at least I think that's what it was.....the bone between the shoulder and the neck) during my severe flare up. When I leant backwards it felt like the bone was dislocating and it actually made me scream out in pain a few times. It was agony!!! I do sympathise. X

Sue

Awful rib pain for me. Sitting here at the computer is agony but I will not give in. Evenings hit me the most after sitting at a desk all day. I think I am going to find out about Jenni's Phorpain gel.

I really think this RA can attack anything and everything. I think mine thinks it is on an explorer holiday as I never know where it is going to turn up nextLOL

Hope your pain subsides soon.

Jackie

I've had pain in my chest since last May everytime I take a deep breath in. I can't laugh, sneeze, cough or yawn without it hurting. I did have a spell of having stabbing pains in my chest area. Made me scream out in pain, thankfully that seems to of stopped now. I have seen two GP's during this time, one said it wasn't related to RA, just one of those things, the other said it was because of my RA. Saw consultant last week and he thinks its muscular, so I don't really know what to think, apart from the fact I don't like it and it hurts.
